The Ministry of East African Community Affairs (MEACA) actively participated in the East African Community (EAC) Parliamentary Week held from 8 to 10 July 2026 at the Parliament of Uganda, using the platform to engage stakeholders, showcase the achievements of regional integration, and raise public awareness about the opportunities available to Ugandans under the East African Community.

On 7th and 8th July 2026, the Ministry of East African Community Affairs (MEACA), through its Department of Political Affairs, conducted a stakeholder engagement at Oraba Border Post in Koboko District.

Uganda participated in the inaugural Meeting of the East African Community (EAC) Sectoral Council Responsible for Social Affairs, held from 2 to 7 July 2026 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, marking a significant milestone in advancing the region's social development agenda.

From 2 to 3 July 2026, the Ministry of East African Community Affairs (MEACA) carried out a series of community engagements in Buliisa and Kikuube districts aimed at increasing public awareness of the East African Community (EAC) integration agenda and equipping communities to benefit from regional trade and economic opportunities.

The Ministry of East African Community Affairs (MEACA) today officially launched and disseminated its Strategic Plan (FY2025/26–FY2029/30), Client Charter, and Service Delivery Standards (SDS) at the Ministry headquarters, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening institutional performance, improving service delivery, and enhancing accountability.
