The 32nd National Agricultural Show opened its doors at the Agricultural show Grounds, Jinja to a buzz of activity, innovation, and conversation, and the Ministry of East African Community Affairs (MEACA) was firmly in the middle of it all.The show was officially opened by the Right Honourable Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja, representing H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, under the theme: "Agri-Leap to High Middle Income Through Farm Innovations and Agro-Industrialisation." It brought together farmers, manufacturers, traders, and policymakers from across the country.

For MEACA, the show was more than an exhibition. It was an opportunity to bring the story of regional integration closer to the people it most directly affects.At the Ministry's stall, officers engaged visitors on the four pillars of East African Community integration, explaining each one in practical terms.The conversations at the stall were lively, candid, and telling. Visitors did not just listen. They asked questions, raised concerns, and offered suggestions on how MEACA can better support them in navigating regional trade challenges and translating EAC policy into lived reality.

The Ministry's National Coordination role was a recurring point of discussion, with stakeholders expressing keen interest in understanding how MEACA bridges the gap between regional frameworks and national implementation.The show reinforced what MEACA continues to demonstrate in spaces like this: that regional integration is not an abstract policy agenda. It is the farmer seeking a wider market, the trader navigating cross-border procedures, and the manufacturer eyeing an expanded customer base across Partner States.
