On the invitation of the 1DPM/Minister for East African Community Affairs Uganda, The Chairperson of the National Planning Authority Mrs. Mbabazi Pamela, and her technical staff from NPA held a meeting with Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga was in the company of the Ministry senior staff officers led by the Permanente Secretary Mrs Edith Mwanje. the purpose of the early sunrise meeting between the National Planning Authority and the Ministry of EAC-Uganda was to ensure that the Ministry of EAC-Uganda contributed well to Uganda’s efforts toward regional integration. Some of the Proposed National Planning Authority to achieve the National Development Plan -4 to Vision 2040 are:

- Review the government service delivery system architecture to act as a unit, harness synergies, and deliver public services efficiently and effectively.
- Government will pursue policies aimed at leapfrogging in innovation, technology and science, engineering, human resource development, public sector management, and private sector development.
- Develop and implement a National Innovation System that will help in initiating, importing, modifying and diffusing new technologies.
- Accelerate industrialization through upgrading and diversification to effectively harness the local resources, offshoring industries, and developing industrial clusters along the value chain. Among others…
