EAC-IGAD Minister High Level meeting on the coordination of efforts to manage Refugees
The 1stDPM|Minister for East African Community Affairs Uganda, Rt. Hon Rebecca Kadaga (MP) officiated at the opening ceremony of the EAC-IGAD Minister High Level meeting on the coordination of efforts to manage Refugees with EAC and the Horn of Africa at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
The speaker emeritus of the 9th and 10th Parliament of Uganda appealed to the Partner States of EAC and IGAD to harmonize policies, laws and strategies to address the root causes of refugees movements, climate issues, economic and political, and design early warning systems to detect hotspots.
More present at the EAC-IGAD Ministers high level meeting was Hon Onek, Minister for Refugees IGAD Representative and Heads of Delegation attending the High-Level Ministers Conference.
