Different MDAs’ Officials Meet to Discuss the Operationalisation of The Common Market Protocol.
On 20th April 2023, the 1st DPM/Minister for EAC Affairs Uganda Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga interacted with the cross-border stakeholders of Malaba/ Busia OSBP on the opportunities and challenges in trade facilitation. It was this morning that Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga held a meeting with ministers and technical officers from selected MDAs’ met at Ministry of East African Community Affairs Uganda. Mrs..Kadaga chaired the meeting which had ministers of the state for trade, industry, and cooperatives, Gen. Wilson Mbasu Mbadi, Minister of Health, Hon Ruth Acheng, the Attorney General of
Uganda, Hon Kiryowa Kiwanuka, and technical officers from other government MDAs’. They discussed addressing the bottlenecks surrounding physical, soft infrastructure, and optimum operation of the OSBP.
