We Need Easy Access And Movement Across EAC-Member States -UNSA
A delegation from the Uganda National Students’ Association –UNSA led by Mr. Welunga Yusuf have this afternoon held a meeting with The First deputy Prime Minister and Minister of East African Community Affairs in Uganda Rt. Hon. Dr. Alitwala Rebecca Kadaga -MP at the Ministry’s head offices in Kampala. The students’ executive raised quit a number of issues to the emeritus of the 9th and 10th Parliament of Uganda of which among them include:
• Their working relationship between Government and UNSA
• Students easy access and movement across other member state with in the East African Community which they said is an uphill task for them and
• Waiving of data tax that affects students’ online study due to the high cost of internet and expiry time frame of data. In response to their concerns, The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of East African Community Affairs in Uganda, assured the visiting delegation of students under their umbrella UNSA to work on the above mentioned issues and she’s to make a follow-up on reduction of data costs for online learning students by engaging in a discussion with the Ministry of ICT&NG together with mobile telephone companies in Uganda.
