MEACA engagement at Uganda Christian University

The Ministry of East African Community Affairs Uganda in a bid to sensitise the citizens of Uganda about the integration of the East African Community. It was that time that the Ministry officials organised an engagement with the Uganda Christian University and bought the students and teaching staff of the University students on 6th progress of Uganda’s participation in the WAC.

While addressing the congregation, that a country that is landlocked (Uganda), it was important to have the EAC Integration. She further said that the issue of integration isn’t only important to the important of East Africa but to Africa as a continent.

The Permanent Secretary for MEACA Mrs. Edith Mwanje in her speech, told the gathering on where we are on the issue in her speech of the Monetary Union which is at the third stage in the process of East African Community which is at the third stage of the Regional Integration.

Mrs. Mwanje further said that the EAMU Protocol was adopted in accordance with the EAC Treaty and signed on the 30th November 2022. The Uganda Christian University sensitisation meeting was attended by the MEACA Officials, University administration and students.
